What Can I Do

Activism is a very personal thing, even though it necessitates a community effort. Everyone has somewhere they fit within activism as everyone has different needs, priorities & accommodations to be met.

Below are some examples of ways to advocate for Palestinian liberation. You can choose one path to follow or multiple; it’s all based on your current interests & abilities.

  • Report on situations/incidents coming from Palestine – news reports, journal entries, collation of photos/videos, personal interviews
  • Attend protests & demonstrations. Write a sign, give a speech to the crowd, or just be part of the people calling for change at these demos.
  • Read about Palestine & the long liberation struggle, then discuss with loved ones to help them understand the plight of Palestinians to this day.
  • Speak to people about the things you see & learn about Palestine.
  • Research your local council to see if they’re complicit in this genocide as well as other war crimes by investing in arms manufacturing.
  • Check into the bank you use to identify arms manufacturing investments and either move to a bank that isn’t complicit or write to your bank telling them to divest from these atrocities.
  • Research the company you work for or the organisations you currently support. Are they invested in arms manufacturing or specifically invested in the occupation of Palestine? If they do, it’s up to you to push for divestment as a stakeholder in the company.

Speak to people about the things you see & learn about Palestine. Do you see the holocaust being livestreamed on social media? Save these videos, share these videos, describe to people about the hardships being faced. Yes, there is extreme violence carried out by the IDF/IOF but even finding water is such a struggle. No clean water, desalination plants bombed and destroyed, walking miles through burning sun & flying bullets and waiting in queues for hours to receive a jug of dirty water. How far do you travel for water? Is it clean water? Is it fresh water? Do you pour it straight from the tap? Do you even drink water? Or is it too dull & boring for your tastes?
